Vacation Summer 2006, eh
First and foremost, I took a vacation. Yes, despite the fact that the SOX audit starts tomorrow, I took a vacation with Kim. We went to the great north, eh...
Beer, hockey and donughts, eh.
Kim's Mom and Dad were nice enough to show us how to setup their pop-up trailer and we took it to Pleasant Beach campgrounds. After some problems getting the trailer setup (3 hours of problems), we finally had dinner. We got there last Sunday and originally planned on just staying until Wednesday, but thanks to Bryan and Michele, we were able to stay until Friday.
I bought a bottle of Jack Daniels from a batch from 1915. Kim brought a bottle of wine that she had from her cousin's wine tour birthday from a couple of weeks ago.
I actually got a little tan while camping. :)
Sunday was setup and lots of stress. We had a campfire at Bryan and Michele's cabin.
Monday we went to the beach and met up with Bob and Lisa at the beach and then had a campfire at Sherkston at Bob and Lisa's trailer.
Tuesday, on the most patriotic day of the year, we went to Clifton Hill because the weather was cold and Bob and I wanted to get some cuban cigars.
This picture was taken at the Rock and Roll Cafe in Niagara Falls. We decided to grab some lunch and Bob, Kim, Bryan and Michele all had Twisted Macaroni and Cheese (tasted awesome, Kim let me try hers). Lisa had a Roast Beef sammich that wasn't so good. And, I had a Caribbean Chicken Sandwich.
After a GREAT amount of stress trying to get money out of my account, we were finally able to continue on with the afternoon. (Sorry everyone, I feel like an ass for that one.)
Lisa had an adventurous day, she wanted ice cream and thought that she was talking to Bob and wound up "talking" to someone else instead. Also, parties were injured, nobody's blaming anyone but it sure sounded funny.
Also, we took a picture with the Hershey's Kiss mascot.
We took a ride on the Maid of the Mist because we it was only 5 dollars more than the ride on the Ferris Wheel on the top of Clifton Hill.
So yeah, needless to say, we got SOAKED. I know that we had a hell of a lotta fun. (Sorry, Bryan and Michele, I swear we'll do the jet boats next time.)
Just look at this view though, it's really coool. I can't believe that I was able to get that picture.
After the Maid of the Mist, we sat down for a couple of minutes before finally going to get the cigars. (Maybe someday, I'll be in one of these pictures.)
After Bob and I got our Bolivar and Montecristo cuban cigars we headed over to the Niagara / Buffalo River to watch fireworks displays.
We went to Sherkston again for swimming at the beach and Michele had a float incident.
Friday after we got back home, Kim and I went to the Queen of Heaven carnival for a little while. I was able to have one of my good old La Glorias while Kim played...
I Got It (ball number 1)
Saturday, we went to the Nickelback concert which was freakin' AWESOME. I know that Kim and I loved it. This was one of the better pictures that I was able to take.
Today, we went to church for Fiesta, and then to Wendy's for the slowest service EVER. After that Kim and I went to the Taste of Buffalo festival. And yes, despite that I LOVE to eat, I didn't eat anything there.
So tonight, I'm finishing up my vacation and Kim and I are just relaxing watching TV. I finished off my Jack Daniels and had one last cigar.
I had a great time, I wanted to say thanks to Bob and Lisa and Bryan and Michele for allowing us to share their vacation with them.

TV Hosed
So, it looks like my TV is temporarily hosed, the red channel on my projection is out of phase and it looks like I'd need a pair of 3D glasses to see anything properly.
I hope that my warranty through Best Buy is worth the $300.00 that I spent on it. :(

Anniversary Weekend (con't)
Saturday afternoon, we went to lunch at Bill Gray's and ran into Bob's Mom, Sister Sandy and her Husband Rick. After that, she and I went out to the reservation so that I could get gas and enjoy the La Gloria Cubana Serie R 2005 edition. (Damn, what a great cigar.)
Since the cigar was much bigger than I expected, we decided to go to Sunset Bay and look at the water.
Unfortunately, it was too cold and windy to get out of the car, but the view was great.
It was a year ago today that Bob and Lisa, Michele and Bryan met Kim and I at Banana Peppers in Tonawanda so that we could go on our second date. (The first was at Starbucks, we were so nervous about being with everyone that we wanted to sit and relax and talk first.)
And if it wasn't for Lisa and Michele both convincing Kim that I was the greatest guy ever (I am pretty great after all). And Bob telling me to go for it, this past year would have been really different. (I owe you guys, big time...)
After the reservation, we went to back to Kim's house because the Red Lobster that I reheated at the hotel started to affect me.
Sunday we went to Church and then had a nice lunch with Bob and Lisa and Michele at Olive Garden. The lunch was okay, Kim liked her Chicken Alfredo pizza, too bad the regular Chicken Alfredo wasn't that great.
After lunch, we went back to the reservation with Kim's car and then to her brother's house for a great dinner of chicken on the grill, corn and other good stuff.

Happy Anniversary Kim
Kim and I have been officially going out for a year. (Who woulda thought that she could put up with me for a whole year.)
Let's see how do I describe our great weekend.
First, I surprised Kim (and her parents) with two bunches of tulips on her doorstep. I was so stealthy ninja-like that I didn't wake anyone.
Then, Kim surprised me by sending me a Sabres mug with Chocolate Cook-ays and Balloons at work which was sweet.
I was planning on leaving work early that day, but since I didn't know about my special delivery, she cooked up a plan with Bob to keep me at work. I never would have thought that between Kim and Bob they wanted to keep me AT WORK. I almost wish that I had been able to try to leave early to see how Bob would have reacted to it.
Next, I stopped by Party City and picked up an order of balloons that I had placed on Thursday. (Come on, like NOBODY figured out I would have done something crazy like that.)
I picked up Kim at her house and she gave my present. She made me a scrapbook from the past year which was incredible.
I loved it, thanks again Kim.
She had help with printing the pictures for the scrapbook from Bryan and Michele (thanks guys). Apparently, Bob and Lisa were also aware of the scrapbook and managed to keep it a secret from me.
After stopping at the hotel to show Kim and I was dying the present I made for her. I made Kim an Anniversary DVD. I booked a room at the Ramada Inn which was much nicer than some of the other rooms that we've stayed in.
We went to Red Lobster for a nice dinner. Kim had the Steak and Lobster and I had a Fish Fry that the next day just punished me.
After dinner, we went back to the hotel, and we'll just leave it at that...

Surprise Party, Hawaiian Party and OT
Kim and I went to a surprise party for Mike from work that his wife threw for him. We met up with Bob and Lisa at the party along with Steve and his wife, and the ultimate ninja kung-fu master, Glenn.
After the party, Kim and I met up with Bryan and Michele at the St. John Vianney Hawaiian Night Raffle. It was better than I thought, they had baskets of food like cheese and crackers and stuff.
There's a nice picture of the four of us, but I don't have it yet.
I left the party around 11:30 and went to work for the next 15 hours while I was working on a server problem. That sucked, and afterwards I got sick and I've been sick ever since.

Sabres game versus Carolina
Kim bought us tickets to the Sabres game for Valentine's Day.
We went to church for a 7 dollar dinner of chicken fingers, mac and cheese and cake with Bryan and Michele. (Not a bad deal for $3.50 a person.)
While we ultimately the Sabres lost the game, Kim and I had a lot of fun. We're planning on getting tickets at the beginning of the season next year. We met up with her friend and setup a dinner to Tandoori's on Friday night.

Casino night in Niagara Falls
Saturday night, Kim and I had dinner and went to the Seneca Niagara casino with her family for her Grandfather's 80th birthday. The buffet was great, although I ate too much. The slot machines sucked cause I spent too much. The Jack Daniels was good although I drank too much.
We had fun and the jokes about Kim and I sleeping in separate beds were flying from almost her entire family since the bedroom had two double beds instead of a King or Queen sized bed.
We woke up really early because the room didn't have darkeners so we were able to make it to church. After that, we had an okay lunch with "Peaches" over at Perkins. (I don't suggest going anytime soon.)
We also saw Walk the Line at the cheap movies. I know why they're cheap...
...because the seats really suck. I know Kim's back and mine were really sore after the almost 3 hours of watching the movie.

Date Movie and cigars
As I was getting ready to leave work yesterday, I received this picture from Lisa and Bob on their vacation in Vegas with the caption "this is only half of the humidor, don't be jealous".Well, yeah, after the Star Wars slots the other day and then this, I have to go...
Last night Kim and I went to see Date Movie at the Regal Cinema in OP which was okay. Neither one of us really liked even close to as much as we liked Grandma's Boy. While there were some funny parts, the best stuff is in the previews. Although I nearly pissed myself at one of the parts of the movie.
We went to Denny's before travelling to the reservation so that I could pick up some cigars for tonight at the casino. I had a fish sammich, and while it tasted it good...
IT COMPLETELY PUNISHED ME.
One of the many things that I love about Kim is that a simple trip to the reservation for gas and cigars can turn into a special occasion. We left Denny's and took the thruway there and decided to crank up the Tom Jones music and she and I wound up singing to each other like only two complete dorks would do. (Ha Ha, I've turned her to the "Dork" side.)
Then, I received another message from Bob with this picture. Yeah, I've got to get my head outta my ass and start living life ;)
Stuff like this is way to cool to miss out on.

Old Farts club
It was Bob's birthday over the weekend.
Kim and I went over to Bob and Lisa's apartment on Friday and met up with Michele and Bryan. Lisa threw Bob a Bob the Builder (tm) party.
I nearly choked to death while Lisa told us all a story.
He and Lisa left for Vegas yesterday. Lisa took this picture for me with her digital camera and I had to post it.
Now I know my mission in life...
I must go to Vegas and play this game :D
Hey look, it's Bob and Lisa in the reflection of the window. :)

Valentine's Day with Kim
Well, hmm what can I say about Valentine's Day...
Best one EVER
I have to admit that a year ago, I would have laughed in anyone's face if they said that not only would be in an incredible relationship, but that I would have been looking forward to Valentine's Day.
Originally, Kim and I were going to have a nice Valentine's day with candle light tv trays setup in her room, but then her parents went out to dinner.
Kim made me an incredible dinner of spaghetti parm(esean). She setup the table for a nice romantic meal which made everything even nicer.
I left work at 3:05 which was amazing for me. I even got a couple of reminder text messages to make sure that I left work from Bob who was in a meeting at the time. He knew Kim woulda kicked my ass if I left at my normal time.
Besides, I had a ton of running around to do ;) I made a couple of stops in between work and Kim's for dinner. I stopped over at the Party City type shop and picked up a crapload of balloons. Yeah, I was actually seriously nervous this time driving since the girl filling 'em probably decided it would be funny if she filled them so much that they popped on the way over to Kim's. I probably would have crapped my pants and crashed if one of them did pop.
I also picked up about 18 tulips which looked nice. Unfortunately, I left my memory card at work to print the picture of us at Bob and Lisa's wedding. (My favorite picture of the two of us.)
I found a princess pillow and blanket set that I knew that she'd like. I even found a mushy card AND remembered to give it to her ON Valentine's Day. I kinda messed up on Kim's birthday and gave her the nice card I bought a couple of days late. I also ran out of time to do some of the other things that I wanted to do. Then again, I've got to save some things for our one year anniversary next month. ;)
Kim surprised me as well with a nice frame with the same picture that I was going to give Kim. She also bought me a Simpson's DVD and Sabres tickets against the Carolina Hurricane's next month on the 22nd.
It was a GREAT night ;)

It's not unusual...
Kim and I had an incredible time at the "Tom Jones" concert. While the seating could have been a little bit better, the food was good and was worth it. We both decided that we would go back again if they had another concert.
I made a Tom Jones CD for Kim and she's been listening to it constantly which surprised the crap outta me. Kim's even been subjecting Michele and her Mom to listening to it while she's driving.
I had just put my new cool Treo 700 away so I wasn't able to take the picture of Kim and "Tom" singing together. Kim was singing along to "What's New Pussycat" as he came around in the croud. Unfortunately, this was the best picture that I was able to take during the show. We sat with this woman and her husband during the dinner portion of the night.
After the show, we went back to the hotel and watched part of the new movie that we picked up a couple of days before. ;)
The next day, after talking to Chris and Dawn, we decided to go to the Seneca Casino for the breakfast buffet which was cool. The food was great, and then I won $ 150.00 playing Monopoly slots.
After that, we went to the Niagara Falls and froze our asses off. It seemed like a warm enough day, but really wasn't that warm once we got near the Falls. We're going back once it's a little bit warmer out.

Super Bowl Sunday
Well, I don't know if the NFL is going to fine me for posting to my blog, but we'll see...
Anyhow, the day started out really weird, so weird that I need to get it out there.
I had a dream that pretty much my friends hated me. Okay, that's the short boring version...
In the dream, Kim and I were together with Bob, Lisa, Bryan and Michele and for some reason they were all surrounding me (don't ask why, it was a dream). Bob started it out by telling me that he and Lisa only asked me to hang out with them out of sheer pity and nothing else. They felt bad that I was such a "pathetic loser" that they felt sorry for me and asked me to hang out. He then told me that I wasn't worth having around at work since I never seem to be able to get anything done.
Michele and Bryan told me that they only ever wanted me around when it suited Kim's needs and that they were only being nice as a favor to Kim and that it became increasinly hard to fake their friendship.
Kim then told me that the only reason why we were going out was because she had a bet going for the low value price of $1.00 that she could pretend to fall in love with me and then essentially crush me like a bug. She then got the dollar (from somewhere) held it out in front of me and said that we were through and how could I ever expect anyone to love me.
After all that was done, I told Dan and Chris and Dawn what had happened, they just told me that I brought it on myself for ever thinking that I could be happy and that since I turned my back on them, that they didn't care about what had happened to me.
So naturally, I woke up all freaked out about the dream, but I wasn't really sure what the hell to do about it. All of the natural (Scott natural anyways) reactions came up which was maybe some of this was true at least on some level. I kept telling myself that I was clearly insane, but an annoying part of my brain kept holding onto the dream...
Then, Kim and I went to church.
I mostly forgot about the dream until the Pastor's sermon then it all came crashing down around me, I was blown away by the topic which was surrounding yourself with friends, lonliness, and having a hole in your heart. (Yes, for those of you paying attention, they played Extreme's Hole-Hearted during the service.)
It made for a weird morning, after helping my sister with her computer and her phone, Kim and I watched part of the Super Bowl and had some great food that her Mom made. Although, those were the smallest chicken wings I've ever seen. :D

Coyote Cafe
Kim and I went out to eat at the Coyote Cafe on Friday, unfortunately Kim wasn't feeling too great. The service was incredible, the food was nice and hot and it almost arrived too fast for me to enjoy my guacamole and chips.
After dinner we went to the reservation for gas and cigars, and then to see Michele at Friendly's for some ice cream with all the fixin's. :D

Niagara Falls and Valentine's Day
So, yes, true believers, I'm back ;)
Believe me, It hasn't been due to anything bad, things have just been crazy with the holidays. Don't worry about it, I'm gonna make up for it and start posting all of the cool stuff that Kim and I have been up to.
This weekend was an interesting one to say the least.
Friday, I got to see Kim and Lisa kinda drunk. For those of you out there who wanted the answer to the eternal question of...
Does Denny's sell Tuna Melts, the answer is...
No :(
Saturday, Kim and I helped Bob and Lisa with their new house. I helped Bob and his father in law Stan, with relocating the attic door which was cool.
AND
I got to play with electricity. (mwhahahahaha) :D
Well, I got to play with a little bit of electricity, Bob taught me about wiring which was again, cool. Always love learning new stuff. And once again, it's always nice NOT to get laughed at for not knowing how to do something.
Well, after Kim and I got into a pretty huge arguement on Sunday. We went to visit her brother's house for a birthday party. Afterwards, we decided to make the trip from Eden to the reservation so that I could pick up a couple of cigars. After we stopped at Big Indian, we went to the gas station that Kim's Dad goes to for cigarettes and gas, since he knew that they sold cigars and thought that I'd be interested. Even though they didn't have ANYTHING really for cigars, we inadvertantly found our Valentine's plans.
We're going to see a Tom Jones impersonator at the Quality Inn in Niagara Falls. The tickets are $22.50 a piece and then 25 dollars more for a room at the hotel which is an incredible deal. I thought that this place wasn't going to be anything more than a roach motel.
Kim picked me up at work, and after waiting around for almost an hour while I was trying to work with Dell on a replacement part. She told me that she had a surprise for me.
When we got out to her car, she surprised me with these balloons which was really nice of her to think of. It's funny, because I was the jackass, and she brought me a nice surpirse. She wanted to surprise me with them like I do for her. Hell, she text messaged both Lisa and Bob, because she was going to have them delivered to work for me.
Kim and I went out to dinner tonight at Chili's and then decided to check out this hotel to see if it would be worth doing. It sucks that Kim knows what we're doing, because I wanted to completely surprise her, but it's still going to be cool. Plus, she doesn't know EVERYTHING that I'm planning on doing ;)
Holy Crap, it's gonna be a great time. It's right across from the Niagara Falls and it seems like a nice place. We're both really excited about it.
After that, we walked around the Falls for a little while and it was great just to be together.

Monsters Inc on Ice
Kim and I went to Monster's Inc on ice. We met up with Bob and his Mom, Lisa and her Mom, Bryan and Michele at Chef's. (Holy crap do I love that place.)
The show was cool, Kim and I had a great time. It's funny because we sat two rows behind Bryan and Michele and Kim bought their tickets for a Christmas present about a week and a half before I bought Kim's tickets.
Unfortunately, this was one of the best pictures that I took.
I went a little crazy that night and bought Kim and my niece Drew a Boo snowcone souvenir cup. I bought my nephew Gage a Mike Wizowski cup. How could I not buy myself a Sully mug.
So yeah, I officially spent more on snowcones than I did dinner at Chef's.
After we were finally able to leave the parking garage, we stopped over at Virgil's and then to the water. :)

New Years Eve at Samuel's Grand Manor
Last year at this time, I was recovering from drinking way too much at Bob and Lisa's New Years Eve party.
In case anyone's curious, this was last year...
And this is was this year. (Bob and Bryan decided to leave me the stupid Harry Potter NYE cone party hat.)
Yes, I actually wore a tie.
The funny thing is that I can't tie a freakin' tie and I got a crash course which was actually pretty damn funny. I'm a little bit more lively this year.
Kim and I got the dinner and hotel package which was nice because it included shuttle service to and from the hotel to the dinner. Not to mention that it allowed us both to drink.
The dinner was great and we all had a good time.
