Happy 25th Birthday Kim
I took the day off for Kim's birthday. In case anyone was confused by that, I really did take the day off. Everyone at work was just as shocked.
I got up early so that I could get stuff for Kim's birthday, but it didn't work out that well due to some calls from work.
So, I got to party city as early as I possibly could while Kim had her nails done and I bought her two dozen balloons and a Cinderella balloon which is amazingly still floating. I stopped at her house and left them in her room to surprise her while she was getting her nails done. Then, I went to this other place and bought an additional two dozen. Kim called me while I was getting the second batch and was disappointed because I wasn't there yet. I told her that I was around the corner and would be there as soon as I possibly could.
Then, I showed up with the other balloons and the look on her face was funny as hell. She just looked at me and said "You bought MORE of them". Her phone rang and she went to her parents bedroom to get the phone and did a double take as she walked by her door and saw everything in there.
Kim and I were going to meet her Dad out for a birthday lunch and then were a little too distracted to pay attention to the time. Although, Michele and Bryan stopping by to give Kim her gift was funny as hell.
I know that she had a Happy Birthday, and it was great just spending the day together.

Christmas 2005
Merry Christmas Everybody
I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. I know that Kim and I did.
I'll be the first to admit , I was nervous as hell about our first Christmas together. I was a bit paranoid that I screwed up and didn't get the right gifts. I bought Kim a beautiful diamond shoe necklace. I went Christmas shopping with Michele a couple of weeks before because I knew she would help me find the right gift.
It's funny, we figured it out and we bought each the other the same number of gifts which I didn't expect. Kim bought me a really nice bracelet and a whole ton of Star Wars gifts and other cool stuff.
Christmas was interesting because I was over at her house for an hour or two and then Kim and I went to Dan's for Christmas dinner. (Sorry Dan that it took so long for you to meet Kim.)
Kim also got to watch my mad video game skillz as Dan and I played the new WWE PS2 game.

Maggie
My parents bought themselves and early Christmas gift.
Here's the latest edition to our family, Maggie.
This is one of the only pictures where she's actually not biting :D
I sent the pictures to Lisa so that she could see Maggie and she gave her a nickname of Maggnadoodles. Yeah, I hated the name since the first Scotty was my dog named Molly, and she later had a puppy named Aggrivation (Aggy). I didn't want to name the dog either Molly or Aggy, so Maggie was supposed to be a decent compromise.
The first week was REALLY rough, I wasn't sleeping that well to begin with because I was having so many problems with my teeth causing insane amounts of pain. Then, Maggie was howling at night.
Then, I had the idea to buy an alarm clock so I went running around trying to find one just so that I could try and get some sleep. If anyone EVER asks if that trick works, it does. :D
(I couldn't believe it.)

Happy Halloween and stuff...
I wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy Halloween.
On Friday, Kim and I went with Bryan and Michele to the House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs on Dick Road and George Urban after an unfortunate incident with the Haunted Hay Ride in Hamburg. (Long story, they're stupid, the end...)
The House of Horrors was cool not too many strobe lights (woo hoo), but the Haunted Catacombs had darkness and STROBE LIGHTS in a bunch of mazes. Kim led me by the hand throughout most of the Haunted Catacombs since I could watch the strobes. :(
Last night, Kim and I went with Bryan and Michele to Doyle's Annual Fall Dance. For one of the first times I got to see Kim on the verge of being drunk. (If she actually was drunk, it didn't really seem like it.) Everyone brought an insane amount of food (good thing I watched my weight watchers points up until then.) We met up with Kim's friend Lynn and her other friends there. Lynn's Dad is part of the firehall.
After the dance, we went to the Anchor Inn on William for a little while. It was surprisingly packed in there and almost everyone inside had a costume on.

Bills / Jets Game
Yes, true believers, Kim and I went to a Bills game.
Kim bought her and Lisa the pink Bills hats to wear at the game. Bob and Lisa invited us to start tailgating on Saturday night after going to Letchworth with Michele and Bryan. (Sweetest day, and holy crap was it SWEET.) Bob and I went to Wegmans at almost two AM just to get medication for the ladies. You know you're getting old when you're buying over the counter drugs for your girlfriend.
As we were going into the game, they both decided to take a picture with a monkey. For once, the monkeys weren't Bob and I.

Letchworth State Park on Sweetest Day
Kim and I spent the day with Michele and Bryan at Letchworth State Park. We had a nice picnic lunch and then walked around in the mud at the park which was cool. Since I've never been there before, I didn't know exactly what to expect. It was really cool.
Just look at the view...
Here's me and my sweetie :D
Just look at the freakin' view, it was incredible. I couldn't believe it, I can't wait to go back, once it's a little less muddy, of course...
While it was cold and muddy, I know that Kim and I had a hell of a lot of fun on our pic-i-nic.
I had this picture setup really nice of the four of us, but the woman that was nice enough to take the picture kinda screwed-it-up. (It's still a nice picture though.)
All I can say is we're going back next year :D

Happy Birthday, Me :D
Yep, I'm getting old :D
33 years, in fact...
Kim took me to Dave and Busters (which is the coolest place ever). It's Chuck E Cheese's for Adults. Bob and Lisa and Michele and Bryan met us there to help celebrate my birthday (thanks again everybody, I had a hell of a lot of fun and it meant alot to me).
Michele and Bryan were showing Kim and I their MAD skillz with a Dance Dance Revolution clone.
Bryan and Michele from the front.
And yeah, to anyone out there who really knows me, knows how I don't like people singing Happy Birthday to me. Well, yeah, everyone decided that my feelings on that didn't matter a whole hell of a lot. (And yes, it was kinda nice of everyone to embarrass the shit out of me.)
I'm wearing the cool shirt that Kim bought me for my birthday.

Camping at Rainbow Lake
Bob and Lisa invited Kim and I to their RV for Columbus day.
In this picture, Bob (off camera) farted, Lisa's choking to death from it and his own Mom had to get the hell away. :D
Actually, the smoke (from the fire, not Bob and me having cigars) was moving in every direction and bothering everyone.
Well, no weekend of camping (and my Birthday weekend) would be complete unless I had a couple of cigars, so I here I am.
Sunday night, Bob, Lisa, Kim and I went to the "Terror in the Trees" or something like that in Springville. It was okay, but I didn't do so well with the strobe lights. I kept hiding my head in my sweater as everyone told me Scotty, strobes ahead. I think that the funniest part of that was the fact that Lisa kept telling everyone popping out of the woods that she was gonna cut them and make them bleed.
While we were going back to the campsite, I drove Bob's truck 'cause I wasn't feeling to well, so thanks to my Springville driving skillz, we went by this one house that had every single Halloween blowup lawn decoration EVER made.
Bob took Kim and Lisa's picture in front of all the stuff.

Seneca Falls Casino
Kim and I went to the Seneca Falls Casino with Bob and Lisa last night. We had an insane amount of dinner at the buffet, and I have to say some of it was great, some of it was complete shit. (Catfish = good, beer battered haddock = bad)
Since last night was the first time that I ever stepped into a casino, I didn't exactly know what to expect. My dad gave me 5 dollars to play for him and it disappeared in less than 2 minutes. After that I was really hesitant to spend any more money.
Kim hit it BIG last night, first on the Garfield slot machine where she got a total of 76 dollars and Lisa had to pull her away. Then, she asked Bob and I for help with Roulette, it was a 15 dollar minimum bid and as we were trying to place chips, I put 4 down on 19 which won. Kim won a total of 144 dollars there.
I know that we had fun last night and I'd go back if Bob and Lisa ever felt like going back.
Just a note for everyone, I am kinda sick of all the crap autoresponder posts that I've been getting, so in order to post, you have to put in a verification code. Sorry if it makes it a pain in the ass for anyone...

Labor Day
That's a day when we're all supposed to work, right..? :)
Despite the slow start to the day, Kim and I had a nice day. I stopped out at the reservation for gas and cigars. I picked up Kim and we went to Shores for dinner and ate a huge amount of good food. After dinner, we went back to our usual hangout at the Marina. I think that we had one of our best talks EVER that night.
Kim told me what she wants to do for my birthday next month. She's got reservations at Salvitore's Italian Gardens and the Garden Place hotel which I think is going to be fun. She is also planning on something big with Bryan and Michele, Bob and Lisa which is gonna be cool too. I don't know what it's going to be, but it should be a hell of a lot of fun. :)

Camping at Darien Lake (day 2)
After a huge breakfast, we left Darien Lake because Kim wasn't feeling well and I was going to see Dan and Mary.
We went back to Kim's parents and we sat and watched Ice Princes Diaries 2. (Actually, just Ice Princess, that's just my name for it.)
I went to see Dan and Mary and they bought me a Sponge Bob cake for my birthday next month. They weren't sure if they were gonna see me around my birthday next month and found the cake for me.

Camping at Darien Lake
Well, I've said it before, and I'll say it again...
I hate Darien Lake
But, the campground was nice.
Kim and I went to visit her Aunt Collen, Uncle Bob, and her cousins Jenelle (sp) and Robbie. We had a nice time just sitting and relaxing. We met up with Lynn and her cousin in the amusement park. While Kim and I were waiting for everyone, we got to sit and just talk and relax.
A day at Darien Lake wouldn't be complete without me spending a stupid amount of money on something. Today, I spent 10 bucks for a 1 liter souvenir cup (that I gave my mommy).
The BEST part of the night was the laser light show (despite what Kim says).
You might ask, why was it the best part, well Kim got to enjoy something that she really wanted to do, and I got to be there with her.
She called it my "personal hell" because of the fireworks, strobe lights and lasers. I didn't really see it that way. Could I have been anywhere else in the world, sure, I could have but then we wouldn't have been together. I know that I live with the fear of another seizure triggered by strobe lights, and the doctors have always said that it's a possibility. Kim felt bad (despite me telling her not to), but it's all part of being in a GREAT relationship. It's not about always doing what you want, it's about being with someone that you love...
Don't worry Kim, you'll be subjected to MANY things that you don't want to do ;)

I took a day off
That's right true believers, I actually took a FULL day off...
Wait, that bears repeating, a FULL day off.
Kim and I started out with a nice lunch at Fuddruckers. I had a 1 pound burger for lunch which was incredible...
We went back to have a nice walk on the breakwall, but when Kim couldn't hear me talk because of the wind, and I couldn't finish my La Gloria, we left...
We went back to Kim's parents house and just relaxed (and I watched the Simpsons) and got ready to go to the movies. We went to the Buffalo Drive In to watch the 40 Year Old Virgin and then Wedding Crashers. I met up with Chris between movies and Kim and I got to talk to Dawn and Chris.
Congratulations Dawn on your new job.
Unfortunately, I was so tired that I fell asleep almost half way into Wedding Crashers so we left. :(

Happy Birthday Michele
After working like a jackrabbit on crack all day, Kim and I met Bob and Lisa at Michele and Bryan's for Michele's Birthday Party. It was nice to see everyone and just relax for a little bit.
Michele demonstrated how much she really looks like Punky Brewster, after Kim and I gave her the DVD's. (Yes, I finally found Season 1.)

SOX and the Marina
Saturday I pretty much worked all day, but then on Sunday I decided to work from Starbucks and have a couple of nice Tazo (tm) Green Tea Frappuchinos, if I could have had a couple of cigars, it would have been better.
After work, I met Kim at the marina with a surprise (bunch of balloons with a special Disney Princess balloon). We had some ice cream, I had my usual La Gloria Cubana #6 and spent awhile relaxing and talking which is always good. Unfortunately, we didn't have a ton of time, but we made the most of it.
I love the fact that we can do something so simple and relaxing and make it special. :)
Now, I gotta get ready to finish SOX.

Fine dining and bowling
After I finally got out of work today, Kim and I met up with Bryan and Michele for dinner at the French Pub (on French Road) which was pretty good. As much as I love French Onion soup, theirs was just okay. I "tried" the New England Clam Chowder from the salad bar and then "tried" a bunch of other stuff for Kim and Bryan who opted out of the salad bar in favor of chicken wings.
I also searched the greater WNY area for Punky Brewster Season 1 for Michele's BDay gift because Kim REALLY wanted to get that for her.
I should have started this out by stating how massively sleep deprived I was from insane hours at work. After eating Kim and I went to the breakwall on the river where I almost fell asleep. We went bowling for Michele's birthday and I kicked ass in the first game (after the Diet Pepsi started flowin') and then sucked for the remaining two games.
I know that Kim and I had fun depite the fact that I was exhausted, and I slept in the next morning until I had to go to work.
Skip ahead until Sunday...

Erie County Fair 2005
Kim and I went to the Erie County Fair (I won't call it by the other name) today. We got two free tickets into the fair and free parking passes from her Aunt and Uncle which was great.
I had Gyros for one of the first times after my Uncle Bruce and Aunt Ronee's restaurant Speedy Dogs and Beef closed. (I forgot how good those were.) We also had some curly q fries which were good, but I could have made them faster myself.
Kim got to have her wine slushy and I had a La Gloria Cubana which is never bad. :)
The best part was that we decided to go on the horse and buggy ride through a small part of the grounds. While we were waiting, the driver told Kim and I that the horse's name was "maduro" which was perfect. Surprisingly enough, the horse definately had the coloring of a maduro cigar. What was even better was when I told Kim after the ride was over what the name referred to and she understood that it was all meant to be. :)
Something else which was cool was that we got to see a Kodiak bear and a couple of bear cubs at the fair. We both felt horrible watching the bears because they were way too confined. The cubs had fun playing, but the full grown Kodiak was just wandering around.
We had a good time, the rain decided to hold off until just before we left which was great. Topped it off with ice cream from Friendly's and it was a great day.

My movie
Well, Friday night Kim and I went out to the movies. We went to see "The 40 year old virgin" aka the Scott story. :)
Anyone seeing this movie think that some Hollywood producers swooped into West Seneca, had a little chat with me and flew back to Hollywood (or Vancouver) and started production of the film.
Here were the three things that I told those big shots I wanted changed...
1.) He had to ride a bike instead of a shitty Tracker.
2.) He couldn't work with computers, but other electronics were fine.
3.) He couldn't live at home with his parents.
Other than that, everything else was good to go.
I laughed so much at this movie, I still can't figure out what was funnier, the movie, or the fact that I've had some of the same conversations with my friends. Sadly, when my friends DO go to see that movie, I am never, eeeeevvvvveeeeeerrrrr going to hear the end of it. (For a day or two, then we'll all get sick of it.)
This movie was funny as hell (tm). I would definately suggest going to see it to anyone. For those of you within the Buffalo, NY area, go see it at the drive in on Harlem Road. They have a double feature with Wedding Crashers which would be great. I think that Kim and I are going to have to go see that double feature even though we've seen both movies.

Camping with the Devans (Sunday)
Well, the weather was mostly cold and rainy...
Kim and I surprised everyone by picking up Timmy Ho's for breakfast.
I attempted to smoke the Bolivar #2 which sucked as bad as the one that I gave Bob.
We got to play Scattegories which was fun and then...
We broke-it-up with some other games and then went back to visit Bob and Lisa while Lisa's Mom and Dad (Kag and Stan) were there for her brother's birthday.
Apparently, Lisa and Kim took the opportunity to make fun of Bob and I when we went to her brother outside of Sherkston. (Damn you two, that song is stuck in my head.)
Kim and I attempted to battle the stupid tent and the air mattress, gave up and decided to eat. She wasn't feeling well most of the weekend, and I'm kinda worried. I guess I'll have to stalk her with some stuff. (But, I don't think that I need anyone to drive for me.)

Camping with the Devans (Saturday night)
Saturday was a cool as hell despite starting out on the wrong foot (or leg).
Kim and I slept in the tent Friday night and I woke up probably 4 times, once yelling in pain kinda loud. My leg cramped up and it sucked. I couldn't even walk it off like when I was going to the gym all the time. I thought that it was just because of all the running around that I did Friday, but it's more likely that I was dehydrated.
Kim, Michele, Bryan and I went to visit Bob and Lisa at Sherkston during the afternoon which was cool finally getting to see them and find out how Alaska was.
Kim, Michele and Bryan decided to go swimming at the Quarry, while Lisa, Bob and I went to the waterslides which was both fun and painful.
Yes, you heard me, painful...
I haven't done anything like that in probably over 20 years, so I decided to lay down in the slide and go faster (thanks for that advice, Bob) and I smashed my elbow into my side.
My chest is still hurting from it a couple of days later. If I stretch (or sneeze, blink, whatever) my chest hurts.
After that happened, we still went down the slides a couple more times. (I wasn't gonna let a little bit of pain stop me.)
Then, we went to the quarry...
I thought what better way to surprise Kim than to swim out to see her out in the middle of the lake (without a noodle). Let's just say that was one of the dumbest ideas I've EVER had. My leg cramped up (come on, you're kidding me, I should have been fine... That would NEVER happen to me.) Yes, I am a dumbass, I'll admit it now.
The whole point to me doing it wasn't that, it was to get over being in the water. I seem to be doing well with facing my other fears this year, why not get that one out of the way as well....
And while everyone was having a good time, I was trying to get rid of the cramp. :(
Once it started to feel better, I decided to jump off the peer (again, no noodle) because everyone else was. (And yes, I would jump off a cliff if the cool kids were doing it too.)
After that we had London Broil at the cabin which was incredible. I never had that before, and it was great. We went back to Bob and Lisa's to see fireworks. (Yes, for those of you keeping track in the studio audience, I believe that's 4 times this year.)
I got to smoke the Cuban Montecristo cigar which was great and since I had my new shiny flask filled with Green Label Jack Daniels.
Just hanging out with Kim and my friends, some Jack Daniels, and a cuban cigar it was a fun night...

Camping with the Devans (Friday night)
Kim and I were invited by Bryan and Michele to visit them at their family's cabin for the weekend. Bob and Lisa invited all of us to visit them during their honeymoon at Sherkston which was a block away.
It's a good thing that we were supposed to be relaxing this weekend, because I needed it after this past week. It took me almost until the time that we got to the Peace Bridge to stop talking like Blurr (John Moshita). I left work at 3:30 managed to get some cigars from Virgil, go to the mall and buy my nephew a game, bought Kim a "Build a Bear" which looks like me so she doesn't miss me too much while I am at work 24 / 7 over the next two weeks, get stuff from Dick's sporting goods, pack my crap, talk to my parents and go to Kim's so that we could get to the cabin before 7.
I made it from the Galleria Mall to my front door in 15 minutes. Chris, it felt like one of the old days in the Battle Wagon.
The first thing I gotta say is, holy crap, was that some GREAT food. I easily gained a couple of pounds (sorry, kilos) this weekend.
We had Ribs and Chicken Friday night and some incredible tuna salad. (Not a huge fan of tuna salad normally which is why this was so damn good.)
After dinner, we just hung out while waiting for the stupid airmattress that I bought to get inflated. It took 3 and a half hours, I shit you not...
Bob and Lisa had company so Michele and Bryan, Kim and I went to Clifton Hill which just kicked ass. Everyone wanted to make sure that I was able to get some Cuban cigars while I was there which was cool. I picked up 4 cigars, two Bolivar #2's and two Montecristos. The Montecristo was great, it's just too bad that the Bolivars sucked (sorry about that, Chuck).
Kim, Lisa, Bob, Michele and Bryan, I am telling you guys this now...
I want to go back to Clifton Hill.
I want to go in one of those haunted places this fall. Kim thought that I was being sarcastic about being there at first and that I didn't like it. It's probably as close to Vegas as I'm ever gonna get. (Not that it's even close to what Vegas is like, it's just a bit showier than Toronto is.)
Here are some of the pictures that we took.
This one is from "The GREAT Canadian Miiidwaaaay"
Yes, I am completely sober in this picture (just don't ask)...
"And that's the bottom line, cause Stone Cold Scott said so...."
This was from the Hershey store, home of the thickest Milkshake ever. (It puts Wendy's Frosty to shame.)

Stalkers
Well, no matter what happened Sunday night, I just couldn't snap out of my depression. Hell, my family was in from Indiana to see us and I really just wanted to be alone. After waking up later than usual to go to work, I had an incredibly nice surprise waiting at my car.
A Star Wars mylar balloon complete with Strawberry Charms Blow Pop sucker and a nice card from Kim.
Yes, Kim and Michele took a little drive Sunday night and decided to stalk me. Kim had Michele drive around the block about 5 times with only the parking lights on trying to get the courage to open my car door and put the balloon and card inside of it. Finally, Kim saw that my window was open so she stuck the card in the door and the balloon wedged in the window.
My sister left late last night and saw everything and opened the door and setup everything nice so I'd see it in the morning. (The card fell on the floor.)
It was so nice that I was almost back to another Brendan Frasier "Bedazzled" moment. ;)
I was never so happy to be stalked in my life.

Somebody pissed in my Wheaties (tm)
Yes, from what started out as a really great day, quickly turned to a steaming bowl of shit and apparently, I got second helpings...
I got into a car accident today, not bad, I am okay and so is the girl that I hit. So, nobody freak out on me here. I was leaving Episode 3 with my Dad and Aunt and decided to go to the McKinley Mall. I was making a left turn in the turning lane and I was three cars behind, the first guy decided to go and then the girl in front of me decided she was going to go as well.
Until she decided she didn't feel like it anymore. She committed to the turn and STOPPED.
And I got a goddamned ticket for "following too close". (Stupid police quotas.) I still went to the Media Play after everything was done, but I didn't feel like buying Multiplicity anymore, so I went home really pissed off.
Except one thing, pissed off turned into a deep depression. In fact, I scared myself a bit at just how depressed I was. The only way in which I can describe it is the movie Bedazzled with Brendan Fraiser. You know when he wishes to be a nice "sensitive guy" and then everything in the world sets him off crying, yep, that was yours truly. Here I was happy about everything going on, Kim and I have been really happy together, Bob and Lisa got married... Things just seemed to be good. Then, I hit that car. Yes, I know that I was really overreacting, but I think that it's just been bottled up frustration and emotion and that was the straw that did it. It wasn't so much hitting the car, it's just what hitting the car meant to me right now. My bills are finally clearing up a bit, I am getting ready to move and then this happend.
I think that there's probably two amazing things that came out of that night. (I bet you never thought that I'd say that Kim.) The first was just the fact that it happened, I am just used to keeping everything bottled up, and it surprised me how bad I felt.
The second thing is that Kim was on the phone with me a good chunk of that time and just listened and wanted to help me. She felt bad because I felt like crap. I never wanted to bring her down (and hopefully, I didn't).
I also feel like a jackass because Bob called me during the middle of all that and really tried not to sound too bad, but did an extremely shitty job of it. I didn't want them worrying about me while they were on their honeymoon.

The circle is now complete...
Yes, I can finally say it, a weird, yet proud moment in my life happened today.
I've now watched every single Star Wars movie with my Aunt Linda. My Aunt lives in Indiana and she and I have always been HUGE Star Wars fans. We've both told each other that we were going to have to see all of the movies together and we after all these years, we finally did. I know to most people this is lame as hell, but not to me... There are very few things in life that I take as a "tradition", (except apparently laying down while drinking), but this is one of them.

Holy Crap
Let me repeat, HOLY CRAP. If you want to use any type of inner voice on that one think of Frank Barone from "Everybody Loves Raymond".
The last time that I visited my own blog my counter was at 27, I believe. There's been 40 more hits in less than a month. Okay, now I'm going back and post dating some entries so that I have the proper timeline of what happened.

Bob and Lisa's Wedding
Well, Bob and Lisa's wedding day has finally arrived...
...let the drinking begin. :)
Everything was nice, they couldn't have asked for better weather.
(Warning, this post is picture friendly.)
Finally, Kim and I have a nice clear picture of the two of us :)
We're both really happy that this one turned out as nice as it did. (Kim, don't get mad for me posting this.)
The service was nice, still not used to a giant jumbo-tron screen coming down in the middle of the service, but hey...
Look, the happy couple.
I am posting this one for Kim, since she seems to like this picture so much. Hey, when I have Jack and Coke (later, Jack and Rum) then I guess that I don't seem to mind having my picture taken (even when I look like a jackass).
I can't believe that I don't have a picture of me riding on the fire truck. I got to press the buttons and EVERYTHNG. (I felt like a little kid pressing the emergency evacuation button.)
I am just posting this picture since I think it's funny as hell.
Smack dat ass...

Bob and Lisa's Wedding Rehersal Dinner
I took a half day off today and managed to leave on time that was mostly due to my co-workers reminding me every two minutes that it was almost time to leave. ;)
I got all of my running around done, went to the reservation for some cigars for the reception since Virgil was out, got my tux jacket from the mall. It was all good.
Kim and I had a great time at the Dock at the Bay. I had an huge fish fry, I love that place...
It was a great night, not too warm, not too cold. All of the guys in Bob's wedding party got flasks with our initials. I didn't realize that anyone made a half flask / half two cigar holder compartment. I think that the best part is what a cigar snob I've created (insert evil laughter here). Bob didn't just buy any old cigars, hell no, he bought Ashtons (great choice). And not to be outdone there, the flasks had Jack Daniels Green Label in them. (Damn did that kick ass.)
The best part is that Bob and Lisa's family was more concerned with me drinking the contents of my flask that night and then filling it back up for the wedding and reception the next day. I did have to sample the merchandise though :)

Canal Fest 2005 and Sunset Bay Beach
After a bit of decision, Kim and I decided to go to Canal Fest '05 in Tonawanda tonight. It was a toss up between Dave Matthews and Canal Fest. We had a great time, we eventually ran into Bob and Lisa over there and had a weird double date. (Weird because next week is their wedding.)
It was funny as hell when Lisa wanted to get her face painted and the entire time she looked freaked out. Bob, send me that picture. :)
More importantly, my Princess Kim, got her very own special light up wand. It came in handy as we were trying to get into her car parked over at Matt's house. (Thanks again, Matt.)
We ALMOST got to watch Ice Princess Diaries 2 over at Bryan and Michele's, but they came home early from Sherkston so we went to the beach instead. The beach was cool as usual, huh, it's kinda funny, I said "as usual" meaning that I've been there so often I can actually call that usual. How l'd up is that...? What was even funnier was that I finally have a witness about "the Tracker noise". Yes, Kim no longer thinks that I am crazy because she heard another tracker other than my own, make the same goddamned noise that mine does. I kept saying that it's a tracker noise and not just my shitty one, it's nice to feel sane once in awhile. :)
As I said, the beach was great, although it was screwed up in that the normal gates we go through were CLOSED. We were both almost pissed about it until we found a different gate and got in. After the beach, we stopped to get gas and so that I can look for cigars. The gas station on the rez that we went to claimed to have cigars when in fact they had two. Not two brands, not two different sizes, but two individual cigars.

Charlie and the Chunky Factory
Tonight Kim and I went out to eat with Michele and Bryan, and Bob and Lisa at Tully's Restaurant on Transit and while the food was great...
I felt like complete crap.
I had my usual "problem" and didn't feel good. I took a ibuprophren (sp) from Bryan and Michele (see, I spelled it right THAT time). And still didn't feel any better.
So, my lovely girlfriend, Kim offered me a Vitamin L which I stupidly mixed together.
This combo turned me into a puddle of goo inside.
We went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the IMAX after dinner, and during the first 5 minutes, I almost threw up. Eventually, one of the two wore off and I started to feel better during the movie, but it was an interesting way to watch the movie. :)

Wedding Crashers
Kim and I went to go see Wedding Crashers at the Regal, and after the movie ended, we bumped into Bryan and Michele. Turns out they were sitting a couple of rows behind us.
The movie was so damn funny, it's become a part of the way that Kim and I talk. :)
Worth going to see, hell, I'll probably buy it as soon as it comes on DVD.

Bob's Stag
Bob's stag was last night at the Bowmansville Fire Hall, and holy shit did I get drunk. There's just something about that place that brings out the inner drunk in me ;)
It was an evening of cigars, green label Jack Daniels and Diet Coke and Skittles. (Yep, Bob puked the rainbow, and more importantly, I didn't.) The funny thing was that I didn't think that I'd have enough cigars for everybody, wow, I was wrong.
Bob's friend Tommy did a hell of a job of getting everything setup, and I did everything that I possibly could to help out. In fact, I was one of the people to walk out the door that night.
I learned two new styles of Kung-Fu as well, Drunken-Style Lying Down, and Drunken-Style Text / Voice Messaging. While those two new styles may not sound all Sonny Chiba, Jackie Chan exciting, they were nonetheless invaluable. Bryan told me that Kim's car got into an accident as well and I was scared that something happened to her and she got hurt (it was in the driveway and nobody was hurt.) So my new mad texting / calling skillz came in handy making sure that she was okay.
As for the other lying down skill, well, apparently when I have that much to drink I get pretty tired. (Plus, all the running around on my end to make sure that Bob's stag wouldn't be anything he forgot.) There were quite a few times that I just decided to lay down where I was standing. One of those happened to be down stream of Bob's puke water rushing towards me. (I moved in time.) Another one was me getting almost run over by a large truck, you get the idea...
Lisa's Dad, Stan, was funny as hell, he wanted me to stick my finger down my throat so that I'd puke and get it over with. He didn't just tell me once, more like 15 times.
Apparently, the funniest part didn't even occur until after Bob's stag ended. Bryan was nice enough to take me back home after a slight detour at Michaeline's (sp) house to pick up the ladies. After Bryan found her place, we got there before Lisa's limo arrived. I took the opportunity to hone my lying down skillz on her sidewalk. We got in and everyone had cold pizza and stuff. Except me, of course, and because practice makes perfect, I put those same skillz to the test on her living room carpet.
Just another one of my "proud moments"...
I was so out of it that when Lisa kicked me in the ass (aaparently REALLY hard) and when she offered Kim's "services" I didn't even flinch. :)
On the ride home, Kim asked me a question to which I was barely able to mutter out "wha-te-ver" to.

Vacation (day 4)
Well, it's the end of my vacation...
Or is it...
(yes, yes it is)
So, what did I learn over my summer vacation...?
I used to hate the question in school and I still am not that keen on it now. :)
1.) I am on my way to learning how to relax (baby steps)
2.) I didn't shit my pants before, during or after all of the fireworks.
3.) I have great friends who are there for me and really helped me get through everything.
I guess I never realized how many people ACTUALLY paid attention to how badly I freak out at fireworks and wanted to make sure that everything was cool. It was always one of those things that I felt bad about, and while there wasn't anything to feel bad about, I still did. I felt like somehow I was letting everyone down by bailing out whenever the 4th came around.
Hell, even Chris' brother Pat wanted to make sure that I was okay...
4.) Kim was especially great, cause we had fun. No matter what we did, we just had fun doing it.
Am I going to take time off again this year...? Yeah, most likely, I know that I have to take December 26th off for Kim's birthday. I wouldn't want to forget that. Just kidding, I know that it's December 30th.
That's all, gotta get ready for work... ;D

Vacation (day 3)
So, I am at day 3 of my vacation. Just like I said yesterday about what it's all about friends and food, today did not disappoint (at all). Kim and I went to Michelle and Bryan's cottage at Sherkston Shores in Canada and had alot of fun. It was the first time that I've been to Sherkston as well as the beach during the daytime, so it was cool. Kim bought these sparklers which seemed to last 15 minutes.
I think probably the funniest thing that happened last night was the radio call-in show that we were listening to after watching the fireworks. (Yeah, I really did watch them without any problems.)
There was a caller, Scott, who was talking about his girlfriend Kim, who he had been seeing for the past three months. Except in this case, Scott had been divorced with kids and he felt bad for her and of course, the only way to cheer her up was a cheezy song on the radio :D
The other funny part was Bryan and Michelle with their rendition of "Proud to be an American" by Toby Garth Jethro Tull Brooks Dunn. (I have no idea who it is, it all sounds like a Chevy Silverado commercial to me anyhow.)
We both had a good time and we took the scenic route home due to some miscalculations on my part. (It was late and I was tired and not thinking straight.)
Today we're going over to my buddy parent's house for their annual 4th of July party. It will be a day of Godzilla movies, food (tons) and fireworks. It's been a long time since I've seen Chris' parents and I hope that the visit is going to cheer up his Dad who hasn't been feeling well over the past year or so.
Got to make more of the best coffee in the world from Starbucks Kimono Dragon which is a great start to the day. All I know is this, after this long weekend, I am going back on the points so that I can lose all this weight I've gained.
Despite having some rain earlier this afternoon, we got to watch the fireworks display at Chris' parents house. I can't believe how many people actually paid attention to the fact that I was watching the fireworks. Everyone really told me that they really liked Kim and said I should keep her.
Actually, I did better at a couple of things today, I went swimming for the first time in about 10 years or so, watched fireworks and other stuff.

Vacation (day 2)
So, here we are at day 2 of my vacation and I haven't gotten the shakes too much from being away from work. I woke up to the UPS guy dropping off my bundles of JR Cuban Alternative Bolivar Belicoso cigars.
Kim and I went to see Bob and Lisa at the Skyline RV campgrounds. It's a nice campground, we got to see Kim's Aunt and Uncle who have a permanent site there. We couldn't have asked for a better day, it wasn't too hot or anything. Lisa's cousin Sam was there with Ron and their son R.J. and it's always cool to talk to them and see R.J. (Holy crap is that kid strong.)
Camping is all about one thing friends and food. And yeah, we had a ton of great food...
Kim made some noodle salad, we had cheesy 'tater salad, chicken, potatoes on the grill and ribs. Everything was great. Normally I don't like ribs that much, but goddamn if those ribs weren't incredible. When I asked Lisa about the ribs she told me that she did the ribs with Jack Daniels Barbaque Sauce. I thought that she just told me it was the JD BBQ sauce just to be funny.
Something else happened which shocked the shit out of me. I was within 50 feet of fireworks without freakin' out (much). Hell, I actually had a couple of sparklers and it's probably been about 25 years since I even held one in my hand. Bob, Lisa and Kim wanted to make sure that I was cool with the fireworks and probably asked me about 10 times if I was okay. Bob told me that he'd stop doing blowing off the fireworks if it bothered me too much. I think that helped too since most of the time any other time I'm around fireworks there's a shitload of 'em, they're loud, and usually no end in sight. (Which is why I never stick around too long.) Everything probably would have been fine, if Skyline's cracker jack security team hadn't stepped in and made him stop. Monday is going to be a good test since Kim and I are going over to my buddy's parents house for their annual 4th of July party. (Hopefully I won't just stay in their garage and eat.)
After Sam, Ron and RJ left, Kim and I went with Bob and Lisa up to the cabin to listen to music. I had my usual La Gloria Cubana Serie R Number 6 cigar.
When Kim and I left, we came back to my house and I got to show her family pictures including when I was a baby. It's funny because those pictures brought back alot of memories (duh). The thing is before seeing those pictures, I didn't have many childhood memories just the really strong ones of my Gramma Jean in Indiana and my other relatives in Indiana. With all of the drugs that I took as a kid for epilepsy my memory probably isn't as good as other people have. I was actually surprised to see how many pictures that there were of me in the photo albums because of the hockey helmet I had to wear in case I fell down and had a seizure. My parents never wanted me to look back and see how much I had my good old yellow Cooper hockey helmet on.
I know that Kim and I both had fun today. Tomorrow we're gonna go see Michelle and Bryan at their family cabin at Sherkston Shores which should be fun.

Vacation (day 1)
Yes, I actually took a vacation day today. (Well, half a day, baby steps...)
And after fighting with SprintPCS on my recent freakin' HUGE phone bill, Kim and I had a nice night. After trying to figure out what we wanted to do, we decided to watch the Pacifier and then go to Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare in the Park.
I have to admit that the Pacifier wasn't as horrible as I thought that it would be because it's a Vin Diesel Disney Movie. The cool thing was that Kim's now gonna do the Peter Panda dance for me ;)
As for Romeo and Juliet, well what can I say... It's Shakespeare, I didn't like it in High School English Lit and seeing it in a park didn't do anything to help it out. I enjoyed it because Kim and I were together and had munchies. The next time that we do anything like this, I have to remember that we need to get some wine (and chairs).
After that, we stopped by Nino's and got some Pizza and then Blockbuster and picked up some movies. (Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, Shrek 2 and The Stepford Wives). We watched the Stepford Wives which we both enjoyed. We're gonna wait and see a double feature of Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers later on.
So, day 1 of vacation, wasn't so bad... Everyone should have tried harder to get me take a vacation day sooner :)

Darien Lake day
I have to start out by saying this...
Yesterday just pretty much reinforced that, it's not that I didn't want to go, I did. Kim was really excited about seeing the laser light show / fireworks display. (Gotta admit, I wasn't really all too happy about the fireworks display.) Like Kim said, it was going to be practice for seeing Bob and Lisa's RV sometime next weekend for the 4th of July.
We got to Darien Lake and waited in line to get in (no big deal there). While we were going in, we had to pass through a metal detector and, of course, I went off because of my keys, cigar cutter, and lighters. I was told that I couldn't come into the park with my cigar cutter, or my keychain because of the cigar scissors / knife on that. I had to wait in line to get out, and then back in again after I took the cigar scissors off of my keychain in Kim's car. I was even questioned on the way back in on why I had two sets of keys. I told the jackass that I just have that many keys and I needed to have two keychains. I thought that at least if I could relax and have a cigar while I was waiting for Kim to go on rides then things would be okay.
We had dinner at the HSBC pavillion which wasn't that bad, but Kim felt like crap because of the food and the heat, so we left. We managed to blow $28.00 on Jelly Beans on the way out. (And Lisa had suggested at the carnival that I pay 50 cents for IGotIt.) On the way back from Darient Lake, I managed to spill about 15 dollars worth of jelly beans in her car which pissed me off. (Total time in the park 2 hours.)
After that Kim and I came back here and we started to watch Spiderman 2, and then went over to Dean and Kyle's so that Kim could see Kyle's engadgement ring. The night got cut short because another one of Kim's friends had a problem and she had to leave. Oh well, shit happens...
I hate Darien Lake

Shogun and Carnies
Kim and I went with Bob, Lisa, Michelle and Bryan to the Shogun restaurant for dinner upon our recommendation. (Sorry again about the seeds there, Chuck...) We had a great time at dinner except they stuck a couple with the six of us which sucked. I had the Hibachi Chicken again which was great.
I ran into Mel and Carolyn while we were at Shogun. Kim and I are going to have to stop by Tom and Carolyn's on a Satuday night too see (and meet) everyone. I haven't seen them in almost 8 months.
After that, we went to the Alden Carnival. The carnival was cool to just hang out and check out the freaky hats and a bunch of hicks. However, Kim and I are now proud parents of our new daughter, Jem. (Yep, we now have a snail and a goldfish.) We didn't get to go on Kim's favorite ride, (beer garden) while we were at the carnival. I had an Opus X while we were at the carnival which was cool as well.
I know that I had fun Friday night, I hope that everyone else did as well.

Apartment Sitting
Well, it was a great week at Chris and Dawn's. It's too bad that things didn't work for them while they were there.
After I had a whole ton of frozen foods from the freezer Monday and Tuesday, Kim decided to make me an awesome dinner of Chicken Breast with Italian Dressing and some potatoes on Wednesday. There were the fixin's for some strawberry shortcake, but we were both stuffed from dinner that it never quite happened. Kim also bought me a bottle of JD which mixed great with Diet Pepsi with Lime.
Kim and I went out to Chef's restaurant on Friday and had a great night. The spaghetti parm was excellent, as always... That was the first time that Kim has been there for dinner except for Bob and Lisa's wedding shower and she loved it as well. It's a place that we're definately going to have to go back to. I just feel bad because Kim forgot her leftovers in Chris and Dawn's fridge and didn't get to have them. I just told her that it means that we'll have to go back.
We rented some movies and had a good time...
Happy Birthday Dan

Comix Cafe and messed up day
Yesterday afternoon was just f'd up... (Sorry Lisa, for you that's l'd up)
I got phone calls from Lou and Sue and then Anthony which I'd never really expected. What's messed up about it is how both conversations seemed to be the same. Everyone is worried about Chris and Dawn moving. I have to say, I don't really get it...
Yeah, I am worried about them too, Chris and Dawn are my friends, and not being able to see them is depressing as hell, but I know that what they're doing is what's best for them. After all the crap that they've been through over the past year or so, they deserve to get a fresh break and hopefully start up a family of their own. It's funny, in the 17 years that I've been friends with Chris, I've never really known him to make a bad, hasty decision. (Unless it's related to video games, then I have to bring up the 800 dollar Sega Saturn.)
As I said in my post yesterday, we went to the Comix Cafe. The group wound up going from almost 10 to just 4 of us (Kim, Michelle, Bryan and I). Charlie Weiner was goddamned funny, the other comics were okay. After that, we headed off to Sunset Bay beach again. At first, I was pretty tired but I got a second wind on the drive out there. Plus, all of the Diet Pepsi at the comedy show finally kicked in...
We had fun, but we both thought that it would have been nicer if there were waves. It was completely quiet. I love just laying down on the beach and just looking up at the stars with Kim. We both realized that we don't know anything about stars. What's funny about that is I was huge into Astonomy growing up so it was surprising when I couldn't remember anything anymore.

Whodunnit
Kim had a bad day of boozing it up at Thursday in the Square last night. (Just kidding, I know you didn't have THAT much to drink.) That combined with two teachers calling in made for chaos for her. Since we've now been going for two months, (yes, I've been paying attention), I wanted to do something nice for her. I tried to find her tulips which are her favorite flower, but discovered that they're already out of freakin' season. Yep, my girlfriend loves flowers that apparently only available two weeks out of the year in Buffalo.
So I bought her a dozen pink roses and a crapload of balloons. Apparently, I have a knack for buying her flowers and balloons whenever her niece Eva spends the night.
We had a great time going to see a play in East Aurora called "Over My Dead Body". It was fun, I think that if they had other other plays which were interesting we'd go back. Although the seats were harder than hell. They could take a hint from Regal Cinemas.
After the play, I was finally able to introduce Kim to Chris and Dawn and Lou and Sue. Chris has been having such a hard time with working three jobs that it doesn't leave much time for a social life. (Yeah, I know how ironic that statement is coming from me.) We left a little bit early because Kim had to go engagement ring shopping today for her friend Kyle's wedding. Everyone really liked Kim, I wasn't worried about it, cause I knew that they would, it was just really nice to hear.
Tonight we're going to the Comix Cafe to see Charlie Weaver which should be fun.

Memorial Day Weekend 2005
This weekend has been the best in quite some time...
Friday night after I got out of work, Kim and I went to see Madagascar and Kicking and Screaming. Madagascar was a great movie, I didn't know what to expect, and we both enjoyed it. Kicking and Screaming was, well, yeah okay. Neither one of us really wanted to see it all that much, but the Harlem Road drive in had Madagascar and Hitch which we already went to see.
Saturday, Kim and I spent the day at Bob and Lisa's RV in the great Canadian Wilderness of Fort Erie. We both had a great time there , although the nighttime was cold. We got kicked out by the W.P.P (Windmill Pointe Park) Security at 10:30. That sucked, but at least Kim and I got to bring back our newest addition the family, Speedy, our new pet snail. I also got to bring back a bottle of JD and a Cuban Bolivar cigar.
Sunday, I cleaned up a big section of the basement and brought more stuff over to the storage facility. Kim and I went to the fireworks dispay at the Southgate Plaza and I told Kim about my fear of fireworks. (Nothing like waiting until we're there to mention I have a problem like that.)
After that Kim and I went to Sunset Bay Beach and had an Incredible time. I can't think of what could be much better in life. We just sat there for a couple of minutes and neither one of us could talk cause we were just taking it all in. I had my Diet Pepsi, the Bolivar Habana cigar that Bob gave me yesterday (thanks again, buddy). It was just so peaceful, we got to look at the stars, talk and just enjoy being with each other which was great.

Episode 3 Review
Wow, what can I say...
Yes, I am pathetic for posting my reviews of this GREAT movie to my blog instead of sleeping like I should.
I loved this movie. I didn't know how Lucas was going to wrap up all of the loose ends to finally complete his Opus, but he actually did it. At least, I had nothing to complain about anyway :D
Is it for everyone, nope, not by a long shot. I felt bad because Kim was bored and I'm eating it up like Bill Cosby on a Jello Pudding Pop. The best part was she didn't fall asleep. (Correction: Kim later told me that she fell asleep for about 45 minutes.) Kim told me that Lisa text messaged her "Use the force to not fall asleep". I laughed my ass off when she said that. This movie separates the hard core from the wannabees. It seemed like every time you turned around that there was some new little nugget that connects 1, 2 and 3 to the Holy Trilogy.
Anyway, I have to get some kind of sleep before the morning...
"Thumbs up, WAAAAY up".
Oh yeah, and I officially give up on movie popcorn, it sucks, too much salt...

Good Times
Things have been great on this end. Work has been good, I've got a couple of my older tickets closed which is always good.
I bought Kim a surprise Lance Armstrong styled bracelet from www.Britt2.com and they custom designed my own bracelet.
Kim and I went to see a couple of movies over the past week or so. Got a sneak preview of Monster in Law which wasn't as bad as I thought that it might be.
We also went to the drive in and watched House of Wax. It was actually better than I thought considering that Paris Hilton was in it and Constantine (Kim and I were barely able to keep our eyes open, we were both exhausted).
I don't know what we're going to do this weekend because Kim has to decide between going to Thomas the Tank Engine and going to her best friend Michelle's graduation. I wonder which one she's gonna pick :D
Yes, it's T minus 8 days until Episode III :D

Bob and Lisa's Wedding gift ideas
Well, I think that I finally figured out what I am going to get Bob and Lisa for their wedding gift seeing as though Kim, Michelle and Bryan have bought them everything else under the sun. I was talking to Michelle and Kim over the weekend and it sounds like they grabbed everything that they could.
Here's the GPS that I am planning on getting them. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

Alfie and Chinese
Kim and I had fun today watching Alfie. Alfie was a jackass since I would never pull that shit on any woman (especially Kim), but we had fun watching it anyhow...
After that we went to get some Chinese food and then to Tops. It was funny because Kim and I were just talking about Colleen's son Shawn and then Colleen called me. We got a good chuckle out of that.

Gaming Night and Star Wars
Yes, I am a complete loser because I posted my Episode III Tickets...
However, I think that I am justified in posting these tickets for a couple of reasons.
1.) They're Star Wars, duh...
2.) I don't have to worry about waiting in line for the first day.
3.) The most important reason is that they're from my girlfriend who bought them. She gave them to me in a really nice card. Kim understands how important the Star Wars films have been in my life and she wanted to share in the experience with me. (Actually, she said that she wanted to get a good night's sleep and just wanted to be with me.)
As far as gaming night went, I know that Kim and I had a lot of fun...
I had a surprise for Kim which was that I shaved my head again. Nothing new for most people but she didn't remember ever seeing me with a shaved head.
We played Pictionary (which I've decided that I don't like) and then Catch Phrase "I broke it up" which was a hoot. Think of hot potato where you guess words to pass the potato before the timer stops. It was fast, furious fun although not as furious as Pictionary, if we would have kept playing then a relationship would have ended last night.

Camping in Leroy
This picture that was originally posted was from our first weekend together camping in Leroy, NY at the Lei-Ti Too campgrounds with our friends Bob and Lisa and Michelle and Brian. To get the picture back, please email Kim here at khickok@hotmail.com
We had a great time including the hike up the hill and having smores. (I still have to say, I don't like the initial game.)
Unfortunately, you can't see her anymore as I've removed the picture.
Kim's friend Michelle is off to the side and I don't know who's hand that is.

Blizzard of April 2005 at Bananna Peppers
This was my second date with Kim on 4/2/2005. After beautiful weather a couple of days before, it was snowing like crazy. Lisa wanted to do shots because of Pope John Paul the Second.
(Clinkies for JPII)
Bob and I froze our asses off enjoying fine cigars outside.
Once again, Jack Daniels just isn't my friend. :D
